100 CLUB - In the football club’s October draw Laura Shepherd won the first prize of £100 with her husband Chris winning the second prize of £50. £40 went to Paula Randell, £30 Mike and Shelia Smith, £25 Mrs Gorton. The next draw will take place in the Royal Oak on November 25.

BINGO - The first bowling club grand bingo evening is on Saturday in the Memorial Hall with eyes down at 7.45pm (doors open 6.30pm). Please arrive early.

CHRISTMAS FAIR - The St Andrew’s Christmas Fair is at the Memorial Hall on November 26 from 11am. There will be light lunches available as well as cakes, a raffle, arrangements, bric-a-brac and crafts.

MUSIC - The Sarah Smith Trio will be playing violin, guitar and singing at the Dukes Arms on November 23 from 8.30pm. Admission is £4 at the door.

PICKLED ONIONS - The 18th annual pickled onion competition for the Gwynne Price Memorial Cup is at the Royal Oak on November 24 from 7.30pm. Enter your sample of three pickled onions by 7pm. All proceeds to Knighton Hospital League of Friends.

PSYCHIC SHOW - Psychic and medium Roy Dodd will be at the Royal British Legion Club on November 19. The show starts at 8.30pm.

FILM SOCIETY - Archipelago (15) starring Tom Hiddleston will be shown tomorrow (Friday) at the Assembly Rooms at 8pm.
