REMEMBRANCE - A service will be held in St Mary’s Church at 10.55am on Sunday.

Wreaths will be laid at the war memorial in the centre of the village. Recently the memorial was cleaned by David Mokler (Compressors and Washers, Hereford), who carries on the task which his late father, Peter Mokler, always did. Following the service there will be a lunch in the village hall.

Booking for this is essential.

WHIST - Prize winners on November 1 were Nicky Handley, Evelyn Exton, Rick Harris, Wendy Watts, Margaret Price, Audrey Sutton, Jim Price, Terry Beaumont, Marge Drew and Mario Battenti. The next whist drive is on Tuesday at 7.45pm.

CHURCH - The charity shop is open in the High Street in Kington until Saturday.

Volunteers to help man the shop will be welcome.

During the summer coffee mornings and tea parties raised £750 for church funds.

WI - The annual meeting is in the village hall next Thursday, November 17. A member will read from a book she has written.

CRAFT CLUB - The timetable to the end of 2011 is: November 14 and 28, 9.45am to noon, 22nd 7pm until 9pm, December 6 7pm to 9pm, 12th 9.45am to noon. On November 19, there will be a coffee morning in the village hall from 10am to noon. The club will be at the Christmas market in St Mary's Church from 6pm to 9pm on December 2.
