NEARLY 2,000 crutches and walking frames were issued by the county’s hospitals last year and few ever came back.
So this week the trust is offering an amnesty of sorts – no questions asked.
Sue Moody, the trust’s head of physiotherapy, said she would just be delighted to get as many crutches and walking frames back as possible.
“It’s easy, just drop them off at the physiotherapy department at one of the hospitals,” said Sue.
Each mobility aid is cleaned and checked for safety before being given out to patients who have suffered an injury or undergone surgery.
