A COMIC character described as the biggest creation since Ali G and Vicky Pollard is coming to Hereford.

Lee Nelson, the creation of former doctor Simon Brodkin, is a “chav-tastic”

south Londoner and the star of hit BBC3 series Lee Nelson’s Well Good Show.

The programme features Lee hosting a studio show in front of an audience and features characters such as his “fat legend” friend Omelette, and his nan.

It has reached number two in the BBC iPlayer list and its success has led to Lee starting a tour this week.

In total he is playing 46 dates, which includes Hereford’s Courtyard Theatre on Saturday, October 15.

Speaking to the Hereford Times, Lee said that playing in Hereford will be “the biggest buzz of the tour”.

“As soon as I got my tour list, I was like, tell me Hereford’s on there, tell me Hereford’s on there, tell me Hereford’s there and it was on there and I was like, 'come on, get in there I'm coming to Hereford',” said Lee.

Asked if he knew much about Hereford, Lee said he knows it has got a Greggs, probably a Nandos and hopefully a JD Sports, which is “all you need”.

The character is renowned for being “a ladies man” and promised to use some of his chat-up lines at the Courtyard.

He said that his favourites include “You’re the best girl in the world... in your category” and “Is your name Laura L because you're worth it."
