ON Sunday Sarah Ellen Hughes will visit Grosmont for a performance with the Dave Price Quintet.
Still only in her 20s, Sarah has already gained international recognition, winning the 2010 International Jazz Singing Competition, ‘Jazz Voices’, and reaching the semi-final of the 2011 Montreaux Jazz Competition, performing for Quincy Jones.
Sarah has appeared at many of the UK’s top jazz venues including Ronnie Scott’s, Pizza in the Park and Marlborough Jazz Festival.
Sarah caught the eye of the distinguished singers Claire Martin and Ian Shaw early on in her career and Ian appears on Sarah’s critically aclaimed 2010 debut album, Dreaming the Dream.
