THE county’s food and drink producers are in the middle of a week celebrating the very best of homemade fare.
Herefordshire Food Week runs until Sunday with tastings, demonstrations and tours available.
Among those taking part are Mayfields Brewery in Leominster, Dore Valley Chocolates and Rowlestone Farmhouse Ice-cream.
Discover Herefordshire, operating from the city’s former Tourist Information Centre in King Street, is also offering free food tastings.
Meanwhile, this evening (Thursday) sees the arrival in the county of eccentric foodie Tim Keates, who is taking part in the Great British Food Cycle.
He is riding the length of the UK on a 1930's onegeared butchers bike in full tweeds and has scheduled a stop at Jo Hilditch British Cassis in Lyonshall.
