KNIGHTON Lady President's day took place recently at Knighton Golf Club.

There was a good turnout of competitors. Lilian Bright Lady President thanked all the ladies for taking part in the competition and everyone at the club who contributed to making it a successful day.

Lilian the ladies president is also the club president and her chosen charity for the year is Help for Heroes.

Raffles held at her two presidents' days have now raised around £500 for the charity.

Results were medal competition: first June Williams 66 net, secnd Sandra Hodnett 721, third Chris Jones 74.

In the Stableford competition: first Sue Jones 36, second Jackie Morris 34 and third Phil Ammonds 32.

Sandra Hodnett won the prize for the longest drive on fourth, and Ann Hobson the prize for nearest the pin on the fifth.

June Williams thanked Lilian for all the prizes and gave her a bouquet of flowers off the ladies.
