ORGANISERS of the Llanfair Wakes Show held in the village of Llanfairwaterdine decided to try something different this year in the form of a scarecrow competition. This paid off with over 20 entries.
The show also had a large number of entries in the craft and horticultural section, children’s fancy dress competition, there were lots of activities including children’s races, splat the rat, football challenge, skittles, and stalls selling cakes and other items around the field.
