TRIBUTE BAND - Artic Monkeys tribute band to play Knighton on Saturday. The UK's no one Artic Monkey's tribute band, the Desert Monkeys, will be playing at Knighton community centre. The Manchester based band sound just like the real thing and will be playing old and new tracks from the Artics. The Artic Monkey's are one of the UK's hottest bands, with four albums to date and their debut album became the fastest-selling debut album in British music history, surpassing Oasis' Definitely Maybe and remains the fastest-selling debut album for a band in the UK. Tracks like I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor, When the Sun Goes Down and the recent Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair have helped make the Artics the huge band that they are. The band will be supported by local lads band and is not to be missed. Entry is £8 on the door, doors 9.30pm-1.30am.
