A NEW bus service to the Big Chill festival could mean extra notes for Ledbury traders.
Newbury Coaches will be laying on a shopping bus between the town and the festival site during this year’s event.
The first service will leave the yellow gate at 9am before stopping at the town centre, Tesco Orchard Lane and the Co-op.
The service, run in association with Festival Republic, will then run hourly from 10.15am to 7.15pm with a single fare costing £2.
The move comes a year after Ledbury tourism and business figures discussed ways to capitalise on the Big Chill’s proximity.
They suggested a bus service after believing the town wasn’t doing enough to attract revellers needing supplies.
The three-day festival starts next Friday (Aug 5) and features Kanye West, the Chemical Brothers and Jessie J among others.
