SPRING SHOW - The Monkland Spring Show is in the village hall on Saturday. The show has been running for 25 years and there is much talk about who will win the Lewis Perpetual Cup for the domestic section. All exhibit entries to be staged between 9.30am and 11am, then the show is open to the public for viewing and trophies from 2.30pm. Come and have a cup of tea or coffee and support this long-running event.
CHURCH - The annual church meeting to elect churchwardens, also including the annual general meeting of the church, is on Tuesday in the village hall at 7.30pm. Everyone is welcome.
