CONSTITUENCY confusion over any postal vote envelopes sent out by Herefordshire Council is no cause for concern, the authority says.
Voter Jacqui Tonge, of Putson, Hereford, saw her postal vote form turn up with the envelope marked North Herefordshire, even though the candidate form inside was clearly that for Hereford and South Herefordshire. Ms Tonge told the Hereford Times that she had heard of other occasions where this had occurred.
The council said that provided the candidate list contained in the envelope is correct, the vote is valid and will count.
Nearly 19,000 postal votes have been sent out by the council at this election.
