KIMBOLTON vet James Robinson produced an outstanding performance to finish fifth in the Mitsubishi Badminton International Three-Day Event on Comanche, a horse owned by his mother Joy.
He completed Friday's dressage test in a share of 12th place after collecting 49.4 penalty points, and then just failed to produce a clear round in Saturday's daunting cross country course when he collected 2.8 time penalty points.
Although he completed a faultless round in Sunday's showjumping, he was unable to make up ground on the winner Moonfleet, ridden by Australian Andrew Hoy, who was also clear in the showjumping phase.
