Berriew 0 Presteigne 1
BOTH teams coped with a heavy pitch to produce an exciting Spar Mid-Wales League tussle which saw leaders Presteigne retain top spot with a second-half goal from Shaun Prince.
The first half was evenly contested with the visitors almost opening the scoring through Neil Bennett, who fired just wide, and Steve Morgan, who blasted just over from the edge of the box.
At the other end, Scott Hodgetts pulled off a superb save when he made light of a fierce close range volley.
After the restart Presteigne were disappointed not to be awarded a penalty when the dangerous Neil Bennett was bundled over in the box. Presteigne continued to attack and substitute Prince broke the deadlock in the 75th minute when he collected the ball after a smart move between Neil Bennett and Joel Layton to fire home through as crowded box.
