WIGMORE Primary School children, staff and parents chose a statement of values - 'Listen, Respect and Accept. Enjoy, Learn and Connect' - which seemed a tough one to live up to.
Now Ofsted inspectors have given their verdict, praising pupils for their behaviour, social skills and relationships with one another. Head teacher Jen Atkins is confident that the school got things right when it chose its statement.
Ofsted was impressed with the quality of teaching and pupil achievement as well as the wide range of extra activities on offer. The extras currently include French and Russian, yoga and cookery.
"Staff and governors were pleased to have the school's strengths recognised once more," said Miss Atkins.
She said the school welcomed visitors at any time but especially during its open day on March 30 between 9am and 8pm.
