Bromyard staged one of their best performances of their West Midlands premier division season to beat a strong Pelsall team 2-0 at home.
BROMYARD TOWN 2, PELSALL 0
They dominated from the start and fully deserved to take the lead in the 38th minute when Matt Gray's cross was superbly volleyed home at the far post by Joe Maidment.
After the break, Pelsall came back into the game for 15 minutes but found Bromyard's defence in excellent form, with keeper Den Smith's faultless handling and kicking at the heart of it.
Bromyard got a strong hold once again on the game for the last half-an-hour, scoring in the 88th minute when Kristian Wood's floated free-kick curled into the top corner of the net making sure of the points for the hosts.
Bromyard's Reserves lost 4-0 at Bewdley Town Reserves in West Midlands division two.
Bromyard's poor performance in the first-half saw them concede three goals. This gave them a mountain to climb, although their second-half display was much better.
