DAVID Park met up with some of the world's golfing superstars when he competed in the Dubai Desert Classic and was looking set for a good finish when he stood on the final tee at eight-under-par in 21st place.
But the Herefordshire professional then carded a double-bogey on the par-five hole to drop back into a share of 37th spot, earning himself £9,400.
Having played four events on this year's European Tour schedule, Park currently lies 78th in the Order of Merit with earnings of almost £27,000. After finishing in Dubai, he moved on to Perth, Australia, to compete in this week's co-sponsored Johnnie Walker Classic at The Vines Resort.
