LEDBURY Magpies anticipated another close match against Grove Ladies but after Magpies won the toss and took first centre, they controlled the game.
GROVE LADIES 23, LEDBURY MAGPIES 33
Magpies defended well from the start as Tracey Arlott (GK) and Niki Brandreth (GD) stood up to the Grove's challenge and good interceptions allowed them to feed the supporting central players.
At half-time Magpies had forged into a 9-16 lead.
Magpies continued to keep possession of the ball and the new duo of Alison Earp (GS) and Zoe Jones (GA), although starting quietly, were running the Grove defence ragged towards the end.
Player-of-the-match was Cheryl Evans (WA).
