Are you special enough? is the question Police are asking Bromyard residents.
A campaign to recruit more special constables is underway and police are particularly keen to recruit people from Bromyard and surrounding parishes.
The specials would work alongside regular police officers, focusing on neighbourhood policing in the community.
Inspector Bob Barnett, of West Mercia Police, said: "We are looking for anyone who has commitment and drive and wants to make a difference to their local community."
He added that candidates should be good at solving problems, calm in difficult situations and good at talking to people.
Specials need to be in good health and aged between eighteen-and-a-half and 50.
West Mercia Police will provide full training, a uniform and expenses. Specials are expected to volunteer at least four hours a week.
