MAGPIES played a new up-and-coming side who played with a fast, fluent style and made constant changes of players in their latest Worcester Netball League match.

LEDBURY MAGPIES 16, SARACEN CUBS 33

Magpies did make a game of it and had a few flurries themselves, managing to keep possession of the ball for long periods and even making several interceptions.

Overall, Magpies played well as a team and in one quarter matched the Saracens with a 4-4 scoreline. But generally, they found it difficult to cope with the fast pace and changes to the opposing team.

Magpies only needed one more goal to gain a point, which they deserved and were unlucky not to get.

The player of the match was the Magpies' captain Jackie Dixon.
