Terry and Christine Wells were eager to find a business they could run from home - so they went Barking Mad.
The couple took on the franchise which means they provide 'home from home' pet care as an alternative to kennelling. Before relocating to Presteigne and adopting the Barking Mad franchise, the couple were careers working in the UK, Europe and the Middle East.
"We felt it was time for a complete change of direction," explained Mrs Wells.
"We wanted to be closer to our families and were looking for a more fulfilling way of life.
"Now we have the perfect home work life balance".
Their service is available to pet owners from Hereford to Rhayader and from Ludlow to Builth Wells and Hay-on-Wye.
It provides accommodation for dogs and certain other pets in a one-to-one environment with host families where existing feeding and exercising routines are maintained.
