FEWER than one in 10 small and medium-sized enterprises think their activities could harm the environment, according to figures published by NetRegs (www.netregs.gov.uk) - a website dedicated to helping small firms understand their environmental responsibilities.
Nearly half those surveyed said they would like more government help. Most were unaware that this already exists in the NetRegs website although businesses could be risking heavy fines if they do not comply with environmental legislation.
