Bromyard Town gave a strong account of themselves before bowing out of the Herefordshire FA Senior Floodlit Cup 4-0 to big neighbours Hereford United.
The West Midlands League side could have taken the lead in the first 10 minutes when Chris Allen's cross flashed across the visitors' goal.
But two defensive errors saw the Bulls go 2-0 up after 25 minutes through an own goal and Rob Purdie's strike.
The Bulls grabbed a third in the 40th minute with a well-worked effort from Andy Williams.
Bromyard should have pulled one back before the break but Allen shot over from close range.
The hosts showed determination in the second-half and conceded just one more late on through Alex Jeannin's 25-yard belter.
Hereford's superior fitness, slick movement and passing was a joy to watch for Bromyard's biggest crowd of the season.
