HEREFORDSHIRE cricket enthusiasts can get a taste of Test Match Special when Sticky Wicket comes to the Courtyard on Thursday, October 20.

The evening promises a flurry of cricketing anecdotes and entertainment in the style of the popular BBC radio show with Jonathan Agnew, Mike Gatting and Graham Gooch, hosted by Ralph Dellor.

The three principals all commentated on the Ashes series this summer and should be able to provide plenty of stories from behind the scenes.

Before Michael Vaughan's success this summer, Mike Gatting was the last England captain to lead an Ashes winning side. His Ashes memories may, however, have been soured a little by being on the wrong end of Shane Warne's 'ball of the century' at Manchester in 1993.

Graham Gooch was one of the stalwarts of the England batting line-up during the 1980s and 1990s. He was appointed captain of the national side in 1990 and is now coach at Essex.

Jonathan Agnew, the BBC's cricket correspondent, was a fast bowler with Leicestershire and played a handful of Tests in the 1980s.

Commentator, journalist and coach Ralph Dellor has been involved with cricket for more than 30 years. He has coached junior England sides, England women and Oxford University.

Tickets are available from the Courtyard on 0870 1122330.
