Herefordshire FA 1 West Riding FA 2
TWO sloppy goals and a host of missed chances sealed Herefordshire's fate in a Midland Counties Youth Football Championship Challenge Cup first round tie at Ledbury Town's New Street ground.
The county side were a goal down in the first minute when goalkeeper Danny Hill gave away a penalty which Andrew Jackson slammed home.
Herefordshire went on to miss a number of first-half chances with visiting goalkeeper Ivan Willis in good form, but the home side levelled before the break when Craig Jones was brought down and converted the resulting penalty himself.
Jones and Dale Bowkett both missed good second-half chances before a miskick by goalkeeper Hill resulted in a melee which saw a home defender head the decisive goal into his own net.
