CORSE Lawn won the toss and captain Nathan Romeo elected to bat first.
CORSE LAWN v COWLEY
Brothers Tim Lamden, aged 15, and Rory, 13, formed a new opening partnership, both batted cautiously until 100 runs were on the board. Keith Perrett bowled Rory when he was just starting to open up. Toby Dudfield, 15, batted well with Tim Lamden. His quick running between the wickets enabled Lamden to keep strike and go on to get his first century for Corse Lawn. Lamden hit 24 runs off Keith Perrett's final over before he was stumped by keeper J Hughes. Callum Wilkins hit a quick 20 to help Corse Lawn to reach 252-4.
Cowley were soon in trouble, Toby Dudfield had number two bat Keith Perrett caught behind with the second delivery of the innings. He then bowled J Taylor for nought. At the end of the first over Cowley were 0-2. Flyn Costello made matters worse for Cowley by bowling number one bat H Dinkle for only four.
County U13 all-rounder Rory Lamden clean bowled Pearson, Crowe and Hartley from only 12 deliveries. Cowley were bowled out in the 30th over for 123.
