A RESIDENT of the Homend, Ledbury is concerned about plans to issue parking permits for 14 spaces outside his flat.
Spaces at the top section of the Homend are currently under maximum one-hour waiting restrictions.
Under proposals put forward by Herefordshire Council, residents can apply for up to two permits per household, allowing them to park indefinitely.
However, resident Adrian Harness is worried that valuable day-time parking spaces for visitors, tourists and shoppers will be lost, along with resident parking at night.
"If this proposal is agreed, then all the residents of the stretch have to look forward to is 14 infrequently used cars, vans, campers etc being dumped long-term outside our properties," he said.
Andrew Jenkins, of Herefordshire Council said: "We received lots of requests from people at the upper end of the Homend to see if we could make a short length exempt from restrictions."
Anyone wishing to make representations to the scheme should write to the council's legal department before September 5.
