DORSTONE rider Joli Smith achieved an excellent win at the Royal International Horse Show at Hickstead, carrying off the heavyweight working hunter class against strong opposition on Kilowen Rocket.
Smith had the only clear round over Hickstead's challenging course of permanent obstacles and difficult distances, despite leaving home at 1am to be ready for the 7.30am start.
The horse, previously owned by Jan Armstrong from Kingsthorne, is now owned by Mrs Snedker for whom Smith rides.
