ROGER Moran recorded his first win of the season when he contested two rounds of the Nicholson McLaren British Hill Climb Championship at Craigantlet on Saturday.
The Orleton garage owner drove his Gould GR6IX racing car to fourth place in the morning run-off in a time of 40.97 seconds over the Belfast course.
Then Moran put in a determined 41.14 seconds drive for victory in the afternoon session ahead of series leader Martin Groves who clocked 41.31.
Moran's win moved him back up the championship table to equal second with Formula One engineer Willem Toet.
