PROMISING young Kington golfer Andy Lambert returned a creditable 12th place in the St Mellion Trophy.
Lambert's scores of 72, 75, 75 and 79 left him with a final tally of 301 in the competition which was largely played in poor weather.
Lambert now stands at 23rd in the Welsh Order of Merit and is hoping for an invitation to join the under-21 Wales golf development squad this winter.
