BURGHILL will meet Crickhowell in the semi-final of the Advantage Business Supplies Marches Cup following a thrilling three-run quarter-final success at Garnons.
Nick Phelps (105) scored his second century of the weekend and with support from Kingsley Morris (24) and Clive Chadhani (24), Burghill scored 216 when they took first knock. Stuart Griffiths and Scott Harris each took three wickets.
Garnons looked well on course when Alan Jones (46) and Dave Brown (32) were together. Andy Brace (44) maintained the tempo before becoming one of three run-out victims, a crucial factor in the final reckoning.
Garnons needed four off the final over but only managed one before losing their final wicket at 213. Kingsley Morris finished with 3-20.
