CROSS ASH THANKS - A tea party was held at Cross Ash Hall as a thank you to all those who took part in the April concerts to raise funds for three charities. It was also an opportunity to present the £2,000 raised at the concerts organised by Dorothy Baylis and this was divided equally among three charities. Christopher Tyler presented the cheque for Diabetes UK to Mrs Bland who was representing the charity. Lynne Hounsome is the local area representative for DELTA (Deaf Education through Listening and Talking). Her daughter Megan presented a cheque to her for DELTA. The third cheque for the Great Ormond Street Haematology Laboratory Fund was presented by Rees Williams to Sally Tyler, who accepted it for the fund on behalf of her brother, whose two-year old son has a blood disorder. Grandmother Dorothy Baylis chose to raise money for these three charities as two of her grandchildren have diabetes, another has a blood disorder and one of her music pupils is deaf. She was overwhelmed with the support of the local people and was most grateful to the many, who gave of their time and talent.

BARBECUE - There will be the Thank You Barbecue for all Fun Day helpers on Saturday. If fine it will be on the riverbank; otherwise the village hall at 7.30pm.
