Hereford Baptists have been enjoying the company of a visitor from deep in the pine forests of the Ukraine. Pastor Anatoly Skripnikov runs a church in Cherkassy in southern Ukraine, which is twinned with Hereford Baptist Church.
He visited the city with his wife and daughter Toma who, with her excellent English, translated.
Pastor Skripnikov, who stayed with a Withington couple, attended the various services at the church and also went on a camping trip with church-goers to Builth Wells.
Hereford Baptists regularly send funds to the church in Cherkassy, where a recent tripling of oil prices have left the church struggling.
