LEDBURY hockey star Jenny Rogers has won the Ready Steady Win's Sportsperson of the Year award.
The 18-year-old John Masefield High School pupil received the award and bursary for her outstanding achievements in hockey and her dedication to the sport.
During the past year Jenny was a regular member of the Worcester team in the National League division two and captained Wales U18s against Scotland.
She was the youngest member of the West U21 team to play in the Celtic Cup and then won a gold medal in the European U21 Championships.
Jenny had also been highly commended at Herefordshire Sports Council 2004 awards.
