THE Charles Renton Unit at Hereford County Hospital has received a gift of £1,600 from Sun Valley Foods.
It was used to buy an infusion pump for the administration of chemotherapy.
Macmillan Cancer Relief made the application and the money came from Sun Valley's annual charity donation scheme.
Peter Davies, lead cancer nurse at the unit, said such funds were warmly welcome and helped the unit progress faster so that more patients could be treated in Hereford, rather than travelling to Cheltenham.
Sun Valley was pleased to provide much-needed equipment and commended all the staff at the unit who provided care.
