A WIFE this week admitted a plan to have her businessman husband killed.

Kim Fowler, aged 41, of Bickley Ford, Kingsland, Leominster, and 53-year-old Patrick Morgan, of Bye Street, Ledbury, pleaded guilty to soliciting murder.

They were remanded in custody at Worcester Crown Court for pre-sentence reports.

The charge states that they solicited a policeman using the name 'George' to murder Philip Fowler between November 23 and December 12 last year.

Mr Fowler is the owner of Symonds and Co, a clothing store in Widemarsh Street, Hereford.

Martin Wilson QC, for Fowler, said she had been seen by a psychiatrist whose report should be ready in a month.

Richard Wakerly QC, for Morgan, said he was a man of previous good character. The defendants will be sentenced on a date to be fixed.
