SOME excellent performances were produced when Herefordshire AAA County Track and Field Champion-ships were held in perfect conditions at Hereford.
Jonathan Dickson (Queen Elizabeth School, Bromyard) recorded a national grade one time of 11.8 secs to win the under-15 boys' 100 metres.
Grade two standards were reached by two hammer throwers. Michael Jones (Bishop's School and Hereford AC) recorded a distance of 48.74 metres in the under-17 men's competition, while Anna Smith (Hereford AC) threw 35.27 metres in the junior ladies' event.
Eight competitors reached grade three.
