PARISH COUNCIL - No members of the public were present when the annual parish meeting was held in Wormbridge School. The annual meeting of Kilpeck Group Parish Council followed with councillors signing their declarations of acceptance of office. There was one new councillor after the recent parish council elections, Mrs M Lloyd representing Kenderchurch after the resignation of Mrs K Whittal-Williams.The chairman praised Mrs Whittal-Williams for her 27 years' service to the community. Accounts for the previous year were presented. A resume of events was presented by the council's representatives on the village hall committee. All the reports were adopted.

The new session of the council began with the appointment of Mrs Davies to the chair and Mr West vice-chairman, together with various representatives to other organisations. The annual meeting was followed by an ordinary business meeting of the council. Correspondence was circulated and concern was expressed regarding the state of the roads in the parish, and the clerk was instructed to contact the highways department. Two planning applications were discussed and approval recommended. Financial matters discussed included insurance, community council and Association of Local Council subscriptions. Other matters discussed included arrangements for the Millennium event, the formation of a ladies committee for the event and progress regarding the memorial to the late G Clive.
