FOLLOWING the success of Ross-on-Wye Choral Society's Singers Workshop 'Sing the Dream', members and supporters now look forward to the climax of the 'Millennium Season' on Saturday June 10 with a performance in St Mary's Parish Church, Ross, of Bach's magnificent and inspiring B minor Mass.

This really will be an event to remember, marked by the appearance of Dame Felicity Lott, one of this country's most renowned sopranos.

That she has taken on the role of patron of the Ross-on-Wye Choral Society and is prepared to find time in her busy schedule to perform with them shows how much regard she has for the society and its musical director, John Handley.

Dame Felicity will be joined on this occasion by three other distinguished young soloists who have all gained international recognition, Catherine King, the mezzo-soprano, tenor Robin Green, and Henry Herford, bass.

Orchestral support will be provided by Orchestra da Camera and the performance will be conducted by John Handley. Outlets for the sale of tickets in Ross-on-Wye include Mervyn James, Ross Records, Ross Tourist Information Centre, County Collection and the Travel House; while in Hereford they may be obtained from The Outback.

Should there be any difficulty in obtaining tickets, Denise Elliot the society's ticket secretary will be pleased to help. Telephone 01989 563059 or e-mail pelliott@enterprise.net.
