WHITNEY-on-Wye angler David Dugdale landed a lake record mirror carp during three successful days fishing at the Letton Court Oxbow.
Dugdale's 21lb 6oz catch was brought in on float fished maggot using 5lb line after a Herculean struggle and, after numerous photographs, was returned to the water.
Meanwhile, Colin Meneaux, of Hereford caught the best tench of the year, weighing in at 6lbs 12oz, and also reeled in the best day's total with 12 specimens between 3 and 6lbs.
