POST OFFICE - More use of rural post offices by local inhabitants could well save their closures. Peter Simkin at the Hoarwithy Post Office, states that one of the services on offer is the paying of council tax. By obtaining a swipe card from the council, at no charge, payments can be made at the post office. The council telephone number to organise a personal swipe card is 01432 260360.
