HEREFORDSHIRE county womens hockey team is taking part in the National Championships at Cannock this weekend after taking the runners-up spot in the West of England Championships.
The county came second in last year's nationals, beaten by Surrey in the final, and this time they hope to go one better and join Gloucestershire as representatives for the West.
In the Herefordshire squad is John Masefield pupil and Leominster goalkeeper Nerys Hamlett and Colwall's Emma Twigg, Nina Emery, Angela Pritchard and Polly Bounds.
