NEXT Thursday, June 29, sees the return to the Courtyard of two-thirds of the highly acclaimed Trio Gemelli who performed here in Hereford last year.

This time, cellist Adrian Bradbury and his brother John, who plays the clarinet, are playing in a musical evening in aid of the Multiple Births Foundation. Identical twins themselves they are bringing with them the violinist Roland Roberts, also a twin and described by Ruggiero Ricci as 'one of the most talented violinists I have ever had the privilege to hear'. Completing the quartet will be Oliver Davies an outstanding pianist and professor at the Royal College of Music.

They are performing an exciting programme with some classical favourites including Haydn's Piano Trio No 39 in G major and Mendelssohn's Song without Words.

Also included are works by Rossini, Glinka, Wieniawski and Faure. Finally, to include all four musicians, they will play the Fantasie, Variations and Finale on a Bohemian folksong for piano, violin, clarinet and cello by Ignaz Moschele.

The Multiple Births Foundation specialises in the professional support of families with twins, or more. Founded in 1987 by Dr Elizabeth Bryan who lives in Vowchurch, it provides direct services to families and a wide-ranging professional educational programme.

The concert starts at 7pm on June 29 and tickets (£5, £3 concessions) are available from the Courtyard, on 01432 359252. Other enquiries to Elizabeth Hunter on 01531 670980.
