MONMOUTH, Leominster and Garnons completed the second round line-up of the Pavilion Marches League Cup with successes in their first round matches on Sunday.
Monmouth set the pace against Builth Wells and managed 161 all out, with 43 from W Etheridge, plus support from J Jones (34) and Dan Head (31).
G Morgan, T Richards and T Jones all took two wickets but Builth fell to 108-9 in reply, largely due to the bowling of Idris Leonard (4-21) and Eddie Barlow (3-16).

Eighty-seven from Maurice Embrey was not enough for Ledbury and they slipped to 170-7, with 3-8 from Andy Dawson and 2-28 from Dale Withers.
Garnons had a walkover against Knighton, who could not raise a side.
Second round draw (matches to be played by Sunday, July 23): Leominster v Bulmers, Glangrwyney v Garnons, Burghill & Tillington v Goodrich, Shobdon v Monmouth.
