Ross-ON-WYE tennis player Colin Bennett retained the men's singles title at the Herefordshire and Worcester-shire Senior Closed Champ-ionships with a win in the final over Nigel Jones.
Bennett, who is ranked number 16 in Britain, beat Jones, from Stourbridge, 6-1, 6-2.
Bennett has been competing in the Girobank Tour and previously picked up a victory when he beat British number 11 Tom Spinks.
Bromyard's Tracey Powell gained her fourth consecutive win in the county ladies' singles - her fifth overall - when she beat county captain Jo Shepherd 7-6, 6-1.
Powell then teamed up with Frances Eckersley, from Malvern, and took the ladies' doubles title with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Shepherd and Rebecca Burns.
The men's under-21 champion was Dean Swingler, of Stourbridge, who beat Bromsgrove's Tim Bradshaw 6-0, 7-6. He then partnered losing singles finalists Jones to claim the under-21 doubles championship with a 6-7, 6-3, 7-6 win over Pershore's Michael Crooks and Adrian Bates.
lRoss qualified for the regional stages of the Rover National Junior Club League with a convincing 3-0 win over Manor Park, Malvern.
