THE future of Hereford United appears set to remain at Edgar Street after recent talks between the club and developers Chelverton Properties and Bristol Stadium Group.

Bulls boss Graham Turner said: "We are all optimistic that something can be worked out and it is appearing now that the club's future could be at Edgar Street.

"Repayments of loans to the developers are required by May 2003. But if things are moving on by then I am sure that the future of the club can be safeguarded."

Relocation to an out of town site had previously been considered as the solution to United's financial problems.

Meanwhile, Turner is meeting with several players this week in an effort to bolster his squad for the new Nationwide Conference season.
