WHIST DRIVE - The whist drive held at Parish House, Kington, recently, was organised by Mr and Mrs Bryn Thomas. It raised just over £63 for the festival senior citizen's tea party, which is to be held at Lady Hawkins Community Centre today at 3pm. Prize winners were: Highest score: Sylvia Turner; ladies:Jean Bradford, Mrs Dennis, Miss N Watson and Mrs Pinches; men: Margaret Price, Margaret Bartholomew, Mr J Price and Mrs I Watkins; consolation: Mrs E Exton and Mrs E Harding. The next whist drive is on Monday, June 26, for the Diabetes Society.
