VILLAGE HALL - A very successful social evening was held in Kingstone Village Hall on June 10 to celebrate the refurbishment and to dedicate a plaque to the memory of the late chairman of the hall committee, Colin Meats. He had worked tirelessly and with determination to see the project through. Dorothy Meats unveiled the plaque, and representatives of the organisations who had given grants for the project were in attendance, together with county councillors and members of the parish council. The committee provided a delicious buffet supper and guests were entertained by music and dancing by pupils and staff of Kingstone High School, and Oliver Sleath on the organ.
