Hereford bowled out visitors Gloucester City for just 47 and crushed them by seven wickets in the Gloucestershire & Wiltshire Division 1 of the West of England Clubs Championship.

The county side avenged a 128-run defeat in May with a similarly emphatic result after the Glouces-ter batting crumbled in front of a superb show of seam bowling.

Only Nawaz Mucadam (30) provided their innings with a hint of respectability as five of his fellow batsmen made their way back to the pavilion without scoring.

Opening bowling pair Adam Herbert (5-12) and West Indian Antonio Mayers (4-27) did the damage and ripped Gloucester apart in just 24 overs.

It took a measly 9.4 overs for Hereford to overcome their target, thanks to unbeaten innings from Nick Denny (14 not out) and David Kings (12 not out).

Colwall came out on top in a remarkable clash at Cirencester after they were skittled out for a season's low of 66 by the Gloucestershire side.

Opener Simon Cain made 19 but the remainder of Colwall's batting order put up little resistance as South African bowler Vrenberegt claimed 6-16 from 12 overs.

But Colwall defended their tiny total in an extraordinary turnaround and eventually removed Cirencester for just 46.

Captain David Sutton took 4-2 in six overs, including his first ever hat-trick for the club, while Cain and Fred Conein both made double breakthroughs and sealed a fine win.
