NICOLA Goodwin has been selected for a 36-strong England women's senior rugby squad who will be prepare for the Canada Cup competition in September.
Former Hereford player Goodwin is selected at hooker and joins her Worcester club-mates, prop Amanda Palmer-Norrie, scrum-half Joanne Yapp, fly-half Karen Andrew and wing Nicky Crawford, in the squad.
After a series of training sessions, the squad will be reduced to 26 for the trip to Canada where the top 12 finishers in the last World Cup, including the champions New Zealand, will contest the trophy over a three week period.
Goodwin has worked hard on training and came out on top in a series of fitness tests at a recent squad training session.
Her family lives at Bullingham and her rugby career began in Hereford.
